Enter the Magical Journey -- Busou Renkin

The Astro Animax is showing another new anime series started from 28/4/2011 at 10pm on every Monday to Friday. "Busou Renkin" is about the magical journey of a schoolboy Kazuki Muto to defeat the devil and monstrous homonculi. It is adapted from a manga series written and drawn by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin.

Story            :
It begins with Kazuki having a nightmare about trying to rescue a mysterious girl and being killed by a monster. The next day, he gets a text message telling him to enjoy his new life....
It turns out Kazuki was killed while fighting a homunculus, a monster that feeds on humans. The girl, Tokiko, resurrected him by replacing his heart with an alchemical device named 'kakugane', with which Kazuki can create his own Busou Renkin, an alchemical weapon capable of destroying homunculi. His weapon takes the form of huge lance. He then joins Tokiko and the Alchemist warriors in the war against the monstrous homunculi and their master, the powerful and eccentric Papillon Masked Creator.
