We're Rookies, But We're Smart! -- You're All Surrounded

Anyong Haseiyo! It's been a long time that I did not post for any Korean TV drama. I am going to share a K-drama to you today which I have finished watching in last month. This drama is interesting. The title of the drama is "You're All Surrounded".

"You're All Surrounded" is a 20 episodes TV drama series and the story is about 4 rookies of the police who supervised by an experienced Legend police officer to solve the cases. In between, there are romance and comedy.

Title         : You're All Surrounded
Genre      : Action, Romance, Comedy
Episodes  : 20
Story       :
Eun Dae-gu, Eo Soo-sun , Park Tae-il  and Ji Gook  -- otherwise known as the P4 -- are the new recruits in the violent crimes unit at Gangnam Police Station. These rookies are neither enthusiastic, nor passionate about their new jobs and have joined the crime squad for various, self-serving reasons. They are led by erratic and hotheaded Seo Pan-seok who wants nothing more than to wash his hand off of the incompetent new recruits. You're All Surrounded follows the journey of these young cops as they fumble, learn, fall in love and find their way to becoming people the citizens can trust.

Cast :

Lee Seung-gi as Eun Dae-gu / Kim Ji-yong
He is brusque, intelligent (with an IQ of 150), and has a photographic memory. His problem with authority stems from his painful past; as a young boy named Kim Ji-yong living in Masan, his mother was murdered in front of his eyes when she attempted to testify as a witness to a crime. To avoid getting killed himself, he changed his name to Eun Dae-gu and grew up in an orphanage. He eventually becomes a detective to bring his mother's killer to justice, while spying on his boss Seo Pan-seok, whom he believes conspired with his mother's killer.

Cha Seung-won as Seo Pan-seok
The short-tempered captain of the Violent Crimes Unit. A legend at the precinct, Pan-seok is known for closing the toughest cases and catching the most notorious criminals. But he has never forgotten a long-ago unsolved case involving the murder of a witness and the subsequent disappearance of her son, Kim Ji-yong, a case which is inextricably linked to his own family tragedy: the accidental death of his young son.

Go Ara as Eo Soo-sun

Ji Woo as young Soo-sun
Bold and persistent, Soo-sun applied seven times before being accepted into the police academy. She is the only female in the new class of officers. Soo-sun and Ji-yong went to the same middle school in Masan, but she initially doesn't recognize him in his present incarnation as Dae-gu.

Ahn Jae-hyun as Park Tae-il
Tae-il is secretive and laidback, but has a way with the ladies. He was in his first year of residency before deciding to leave medicine and become a detective, a decision his family disapproves of which led to his estrangement from them.

Park Jung-min as Ji Gook
A geeky and talkative guy whose sole reason for applying to the force was because he wanted to live in Gangnam. He unexpectedly becomes best friends with Tae-il, and develops a crush on Soo-sun.

Oh Yoon-ah as Kim Sa-kyung
Sa-kyung is a tenacious detective with strong convictions, whose personal goal is to pave the way for female cops to work in her precinct without being discriminated against. She is also Pan-seok's ex-wife, and the divorced couple are forced to work together when she is transferred to his police station as the new head detective of the Missing Persons Unit. She divorced him due to the grief and anger she felt over their son's death, but upon meeting again at the precinct, Sa-kyung and Pan-seok's love for each other resurfaces and they begin dating again.

Sung Ji-roo as Lee Eung-do
Pan-seok's older colleague who looks upon the new recruits affectionately.

Seo Yi-sook as Kang Seok-soon
The chief of police. She secretly sponsored and encouraged Dae-gu for eleven years up until police academy, but may have suspicious ties to Assemblyman Yoo, a crooked politician.

While filming an action scene for this drama, Lee Seung-gi was poked in his left eye by a prop knife, causing corneal damage and an intraocular hemorrhage. His injury required Lee to rest for a few days, and then only continue to shoot for the drama. He is really a reasonable and respect actor. This makes his fans very happy for his acting attitude.

As for the actress of Go-Ara, she looks like mini "Cheong Sung-Yi" for me. She has a little of the shadow of her in the drama. However, she looks quite cute in the drama too and I quite like her. Another actor I like is Ahn Jae-hyun (from "My Love from the Star"). He looks so cool in the drama! :P

OK, let us take a sneak peek of "You're All Surrounded" in below:-

This is the k-drama that I am recommend to you. If you are interested to join the rookies detective, please click You're All Surrounded.

Enjoy watching! ^.^

The Bodyguard -- 3 Days

Hello! I would like to recommend another exciting, action-thriller Korean TV drama here. The title is called "3 Days". The story is about the President of South Korea goes on holiday at a private villa. In the middle of the night, three gunshots are fired, and the president goes missing. His bodyguards, led by elite agent Han Tae-kyung, have three days to find the president and escort him safely back to the Blue House.

"3 Days" follows the intertwining fates of those sworn to protect the president, the president himself, his political staff, and the true power players in the shadows who decide whether he lives or dies.

Title       : 3 Days

Genre     : Drama, Action, Thriller, Romance

Episodes : 16 (Completed)

Story      :
The South Korean President travels to a villa to enjoy his vacation. After three gunshots are fired, he disappears. His bodyguard Han Tae-Kyung then attempts to find the President.
....
Han Tae-Kyung (Park Yoo-Chun) works as a presidential guard. He goes to the hospital to see his father who is a high ranking government official. His father got into a car accident last night and is now in critical condition. Han Tae-Kyung only watches his father through a window for a short time before going back to work.
Meanwhile, President Lee Dong-Whi is in his third year of service as the South Korean President. He received huge support during his first year, but his approval rating has declined ever since. A special prosecutor is now investigating President Lee Dong-Whi's finances prior to becoming the President. To cheer himself up, the President decides to make a visit to a traditional market.
During the President's visit to the traditional market, Han Tae-Kyung's phone keeps ringing. He feels that something might be wrong with his father. Then, a man throws white powder on the President and the bodyguards respond accordingly. After the incident, Han Tae-Kyung receives a text message that his father has passed away. Meanwhile, Han Tae-Kyung is reprimanded because the President was hit with the powder. He leaves his badge and gun behind and goes to his father's funeral.
At the funeral, a woman talks to Han Tae-Kyung. She asks him if he has seen a white envelope among the things his father left behind. She also tells him that her father's car accident might have been premeditated murder. She gives him her name card. Her name is Yoon Bo-Won and she is a police officer.
Soon, Han Tae-Kyung hears from a dying man that "The President will die on March 5th". As Han Tae-Kyung attempts to enter the vacation villa where the President is staying, he is blocked by soldiers because Han Tae-Kyung doesn't have his badge. Three gun shots are then fired inside the President's villa.

Cast :
Park Yoochun as Han Tae-kyung
Son Hyun-joo as Lee Dong-hwi, President of South Korea
Park Ha-sun as Yoon Bo-won, police constable
So Yi-hyun as Lee Cha-young, SWAT team agent
Choi Won-young as Kim Do-jin
Yoon Je-moon as Shin Kyu-jin, chief presidential secretary
Jang Hyun-sung as Ham Bong-su, chief of the Presidential Security Service
Ahn Gil-kang as Kim Sang-hee, Chief Director of Presidential Bodyguards
David No as Ahn Gyeong-nam

Park Yoo-chun

Park Ha-sun

Son Hyun-joo

In the drama, the actor Park Yoochun has many action scenes and he is a very cool bodyguard of the President. He has a pure romance with the police officer who starred by Park Ha-sun. In the story, the police officer has helped him a lot and thus the romance started and Park did not realise his love to her before the President has noticed. Haha! Park is just a cool and good bodyguard but weak in the romance! I think this part he is cute! :)

OK, let us take a sneak peak of the K-drama "3 Days".

Personally I am strongly recommend for "3 Days" due to the story is exciting and thrilling and it keeps attracting you want to know what has actually happened and what would be happened in the end.

Thus, wish you all will enjoy the "3 Days"! ^.^
