The Story Behind the Music World -- My Lovely Girl

Anyong Haseiho! It has been a long time that I did not blog about the K-TV drama series. Now it is the time for me to introduce one of the K-TV drama series which I am recently watching. Actually I have been finished watching a few K-TV drama series but I yet to blog about them! :P Anyway, let me post about the one that Rain is starring at. This TV series is Rain’s comeback drama to the small screen after a 4 year long hiatus.

 

The reason I am watching this K-TV drama series is Rain is in the series, and I think the story is quite interesting. It is about the music world! Well, the title of the TV series I am to blog about is called "My Lovely Girl". This is a 16-episode TV series. This romance drama is set against the backdrop of Korea’s dazzling music and entertainment industry, tells the story of two individuals who heal their painful memories of love with music.

Story          :

Hyun Wook (Rain) is the CEO of a talent agency that scouts and trains idols. He is a brilliant composer-producer who appears cold and indifferent on the outside but is sensitive and kind-hearted. Hyun Wook lives in great difficulty as he unable to let go of his ex girlfriend who dies in an accident he witnesses first hand 3 years ago. Said ex-girlfriend's sister, Se Na (Krystal), moves to Seoul in order to pursue her music-composing career and meets Hyun Wook who helps her achieve it. In the midst of healing through music, they fall in love.

I think Rain is look smart in this TV series when he is the CEO of the company. He dresses coat and looks smart and mature. This makes that he is a very successful businessman. I like him.

 

On the other hand, the actor, Kim Myung soo (L), I think he has the shadow of the "Long Leg Oppa", actor Lee Min Ho. The only different is that actor Kim is shorter and younger. Thus, I would say that he is the "mini" of Lee Min Ho. Haha! :)

 

For me, I think actor Kim is better match with the actress Krystal as both of them are young and look like perfect match. However, I am not saying that Rain is "old", as I just think he and Krystal did not look match for each other. Perhaps the actress acted young and a bit "childish" or "cutie". Anyway, this is just my own opinions, no offence to any of the actors/actresses in the TV series. :)

I like song of the song in "My Lovely Girl" as I think they are beautiful or good rhythm. For example, the song "Pray", and "Will You Love Me".

Different Dimension -- Amnesia

Konnichiwa minasan! I have watched a J-anime series lately which the story is interesting. It could be considered as sci-fi and could be not. Anyway, this anime series is adapted from a visual novel of the same name. The protagonist is a heroine.

The title of the J-anime series is called "Amnesia". In Amnesia, the male characters that the female character can interact with are based on the symbolic suit symbols from a card deck with the following storylines (commonly known as 'routes') in the game: Heart, Spade, Clover, Diamond and Joker. Depending on which route is chosen, the player's relationship with each character is different.

Story         :

This story takes place in a fictional town, in a fictional country, in a fictional world. One morning, a young lady awakens to find that she has lost all her memories prior to that morning. Her life, her relationships, her very name—all gone. All that's left is a cell phone with numbers and names she doesn't recognize and Orion, a young boy that only she appears to be able to see. With Orion's guidance, she struggles to make sense of herself, a boyfriend she doesn't know and the thousand and one little things that make up a daily life. But with no memories left, the only alternative is to forge new ones, even if that means leaving old loves behind.

Characters Description :

Heroine (主人公, Shujinkō)

The heroine of the story who has lost her memories. In the game, Orion follows and supports her throughout each route to regain her memories. In the anime adaptation, she has no apparent name, and it is unclear as to which route she chooses or if she chooses one at all. She is 20 years old and a first-year university student. She also works part-time at "Meido no Hitsuji".

 

Shin (シン)

Shin is 19 years old, and a high school student studying hard to get into university. Both Shin and Toma are childhood friends of Heroine. His father accidentally killed a man who was under the influence of alcohol - he was bullied and avoided because of this during his childhood. Shin is trying to make a successful future for himself to stop people from comparing him with his father. He enjoys playing card games and is a member of the track-and-field club. His favourite animals are dogs, and his love for melon soda is evident in the anime, game and several drama CDs. His symbolic route in the game is the 'Heart' route. Shin loves the heroine in one of the worlds.

 

Ikki (イッキ)

Ikki is 22 years old and a fourth year university student. He is best friends with Kent. Ikki's hobbies include playing darts, billiards, and table tennis, as well as solving Kent's math puzzles. He is notably skilled at 'anything requiring him to use his hands'. His favourite animals are apparently hamsters. When he was a kid he wished on a shooting star for girls to like him and was granted with eyes that make him irresistible to any woman. However as time passed, he began to think of it as a curse. These eyes, however, do not affect the heroine. Ikki is always surrounded by girls and has a fan club that would do literally anything for him to be theirs - they bully the heroine often due her being close to him. He dates women for three months before they break up with him due to his fanclub having the rule of sharing him and only allowing club members to date him for three months. His symbolic route in the game is the 'Spade' route.

Kent (ケント, Kento)

Kent is 25 years old and a university graduate, as well as Ikki's best friend and came to know the heroine through being her tutor. His parents raised him with the belief that everything has some sort of logical conclusion, thus he believes anything can be solved using logic. His interests include devising math puzzles and observing things. His symbolic route in the game is the 'Clover' route.

 

Toma (トーマ)
Toma is 20 years old and a second year university student. He is a childhood friend of both Heroine and Shin, and acts as an older brother figure to both of them. He loves the heroine Yandere in a few routes. In addition to being in a number of school clubs, including soccer, broadcasting, archery, and the newspaper, Toma enjoys playing basketball, cycling, surfing the internet, playing video games, cooking and reading. His symbolic route in the game is the 'Diamond' route. Toma loves the heroine in one of the worlds.

 

Ukyō (ウキョウ)
Ukyō is a 24 year old photographer with a split personality who seems to know the heroine, but remains distant. He is in a lot of different clubs: triathlon, cheerleading, hula dance, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, kabaddi, dance, art, riding, debate and more. His symbolic route in the game is the 'Joker' route. It is revealed in this route that he wished to Orion's superior to let the heroine live, and thus he has to die on every route where she survives, as they can't live together on the same world.

 

 

Orion (オリオン)

A spirit which came from a completely different world. From the view of humans, he takes the appearance of a twelve year old young boy. He wears eccentric clothing. No one can see or hear him but the heroine.

 

 

There are more characters are available in the series but the above are the main ones. Among all the characters, no doubt, I like the Heroine and I like her to be partner with Toma. I also did not know the reason, but I just feel that Toma fits for her! :)

 Well, each other of male characters have their different characters respectively. Orion is cute, but I like Toma and Shin the most. Shin is the good-looking and Toma is the gentle one. However, all of the male characters like the Heroine very much.
