The public relations department of the game company Bushiroad announced on Saturday that production on a second season of the Detective Opera Milky Holmes (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes) anime series has been green-lit. The second season will premiere on Tokyo MX and other television stations in January of 2012.
The Milky Holmes television anime series and detective romance adventure game follow four budding female private eyes. The website Crunchyroll streamed the first anime season outside Japan as it aired last year. A television special was already green-lit for this summer.
The wraparound jacket band on the second volume of Yukari Higa's Zero no Tsukaima Chevalier manga is announcing this month that the final series of the Zero no Tsukaima light novel franchise has a television anime green-lit. The new television anime is slated to premiere this October. The story follows a budding magician, nicknamed "Louise the Zero" due to her initial ineptness at magic, who accidentally summoned a boy from Earth as her familiar.
Noboru Yamaguchi's original light novels have already inspired three television anime series. Yamaguchi has been writing the final series arc of the light novels, and he planned to end the light novels next year. However, he was diagnosed with cancer in February, and he decided to focus first on the successful surgery and recovery this month instead of finishing the 21st and second-to-last volume this month.
Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. released the first series on DVD in North America. Later, Funimation acquired the rights after Geneon stopped distributing anime in North America. Both companies' releases are out of print.
A second live-action television series based on Yarō Abe's manga Shinya Shokudō (Midnight Cafeteria) will begin airing on Japan's TBS and MBS networks on October 20. The first series ran for 10 episodes in 2009. The Shinya Shokudō 2 series will also have 10 episodes.
The manga, which was nominated for the bookseller-selected Manga Taishō ("Cartoon Grand Prize") in 2009, tells the story of the people who work in a small, mysterious cafeteria in Shinjuku. The cafeteria opens at midnight to fix customers any dish they request.
The Shinya Shokudō manga won the general category award at the 55th Shogakugan Manga Awards last year, and it was won the grand prize at the 39th Japan Cartoonist Awards that same year. Shōgakukan's monthly manga anthology Big Comic Original currently serializes the manga. The seventh compiled book volume (tankōbon) of the manga was released in Japan in February.
Kaoru Kobayashi, an actor who has been a fixture in Japanese dramas and movies for over thirty years, will again play the lead role in the drama. The actor voiced the character of Jiko-Bō in Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke, and won the 2008 Japanese Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film Tokyo Tower. Shōtarō Kobayashi (live-action Mainichi Kaasan film) will direct the otherwise mostly new staff and cast of Shinya Shokudō 2.
The manager of manga creator Mayu Shinjo announced on Wednesday that Shinjo's Sensual Phrase (Kaikan Phrase) manga will return in September as a one-shot Sensual Phrase Reincarnation manga story that will be enhanced with a dialogue soundtrack. A drama CD will also be sold.
The manga will first be available on the Japanese mobile comic website Comic Cmoa. The voice cast, which has much of the earlier anime's cast, includes Atsuko Enomoto, Masaya Matsukaze, Kenichi Suzumura, Takahiro Sakurai, Shinichiro Miki, Susumu Chiba, Yuuki Ono, and Rieka Yazawa.
A limited first-pressing drama CD will then sold on October 26 with previously unrevealed tracks by the manga's rock band Lucifer and a deluxe memorial book. The 72-page book will contain a 42-page print version of the mobile site's manga, photographs of the real-life Lucifer band, a roundtable discussion between Shinjo and Lucifer, and interviews with the cast. A regular edition of the drama CD will ship without the book or other extras.
Shinjo's original Sensual Phrase manga ran in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi (Shōjo Comic) magazine from 1997 to 2000, and Viz Media published it in North America. A television anime adaptation ran from 1999 to 2000, and the Lucifer visual-kei band was formed in real life specifically to perform theme songs for the anime. The band broke up in January of 2003, but reunited last year to mark the 10th anniversary.
After finish showing the anime series of "07-Ghost" on TV, a new anime series is coming. It is called "Letter Bee". It is also called as "Tegami Bachi". It is an adaptation from the same name of the shonen manga series by Hiroyuki Asada.

The story takes place in the land of AmberGround, a place of perpetual night only partially illuminated by an artificial sun. Lag Seeing works as a "Letter Bee" (delivery boy) at the "Bee Hive" (a delivery service), with his Dingo, Niche, and her "pet", Steak, traveling with him. As a Letter Bee, Lag's job is entrusted to deliver letters and packages from town to town while avoiding Amberground's deadliest hazard — a species of giant armored insect known as Gaichuu, who attempt to feed off the "heart" that reside within these letters and packages.

Lag Seeing (ラグ・シーイング, Ragu Shīingu)
The main protagonist in Tegami Bachi. He is a 12 year old boy with a very focused mindset, regardless of what situations he gets into and always focuses on delivering the package. He was also born on the day of the Flicker. He's very emotional and is nearly constantly crying. He has a special gun called the Shindanjuu, literally the "heart bullet gun" where he loads a "fragment of heart" into the gun, then fires Akabari (Red Needle) at the target. He is seemingly being able to control the direction of the shot. His spirit amber visualizes memories of an animated object. As a child, he was "delivered" by the letter bee Gauche Suede, and was inspired by him to become a letter bee. He is searching for his mother, who was kidnapped to the capital of the country. His left eye is made of red spirit amber, allowing him to better use the Shindanjuu and also allowing him to fire a heart bullet from his own body. He originally has an antique from Campbell, though he receives the Nocturne #12, Gauche's gun.
The Japanese distributor Pony Canyon will release an original video anime (OVA) special of A Bridge to the Starry Skies (Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi) on December 21. The official website of the anime also confirmed on Friday that voice actress Yukari Tamura will play an original OVA-only character. Further information about the character will be provided later.
The earlier 12-episode anime adaptation of feng's Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi adult bishōjo game ran from April to June, and Crunchyroll streamed this anime outside Japan as it aired.
The special volume will bundle a CD of the related radio program and a 10-minute-long video tentatively titled "Yamahiko Dō Deshō." The video shows the voice actresses Shiho Kawaragi (Senka Yorozu) and Aiko Ōkubo (Koyori Tōdō) visiting Hidatakayama, one of the locales that inspired Yamabiko town setting of the anime.
The first two Blu-ray/DVD volumes of the television version shipped in Japan on July 6 and August 3, and the sixth and last volume for the television version will ship on December 7.
